AT Hillgrove, near Armidale, on May 2nd, 1871, Mr. William Allingham, Sen., aged 76 years, formerly of County Fermanagh, Ireland, leaving a large family and a numerous circle of friends to mourn their loss.

On Thursday afternoon a large concourse of mourners and friends attended the funeral of Mr. William Allingham,
of old Hillgrove, brother of the late Mr. Edward Allingham, of Armidale.
On arriving at St. Peter's Church, the coffin was taken inside, where the first portion of the burial service was read, by Bishop Turner. Thence the procession proceeded to the Church of England Cemetery, where the last and solemn offices were performed for the departed.
Mr. Allingham died at an advanced age.
