Obituary
WE regret to have to record the death of one of the boarders attending the Convent of Mercy school. The deceased, Miss Mary Ann Hearn, daughter of Mr. James Hearn of Bigga, fourteen years of age, was attacked with measles some days ago; this was followed by bronchitis, and notwithstanding the kind nursing and attention she received from the good sisters death ensued at nine o'clock on Wedesday evening. As soon as it was seen that the illness was likely to have a fatal termination word was sent to the parents of deceased, but unfortnately she was dead before they arrived in Goulburn.
The funeral took place this afternoon, leaving the convent at three o'clock, and proceeding to the Catholic cemetery at Kenmore.
