DEATHS.
MRS. H. TIDMARSH,
It is with feelings of deep regret that we announce the death of Mrs. Tidmarsh, wife of Mr. Henry Tidmarsh, of this town, which sad event took place suddenly about 11 o'clock on Sunday morning last. For some weeks prior to her demise Mrs. Tidmarsh had been laid up with an injured leg, a small bone being broken as the result of a fall, but had almost recovered from the effects of the accident, and was expected to be able to leave her bed that day.
The sad event came very suddenly, and quite unexpectedly, as several of the family had gone to attend the anniversary services at the Methodist Church, from which they were summoned, but before they arrived home their mother had passed away. The deceased lady, who was a daughter of the late Mr. Johnston Morrow, was 53 years of age, and a native of Gerringong. She had resided in this district all her life, and was esteemed and beloved by all who knew her for her kindly, happy and neighborly disposition. In her genuine good nature and charitableness she was ever willing and ready to render assistance, and many will miss her kind face at the bedside in cases of sickness and distress. Her chief interest was in her home, where she was a loving wife and fond mother, and she will be mourned as such by the
bereaved husband and family of two sons and five daughters, for whom widespread sympathy is felt in their sore trial. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon, and despite the inclement weather a large number of friends and sympathisers paid their last tribute of respect by following the remains to their last resting place in the Methodist portion ot North Kiama cemetery. The Rev. W. H. Williams conducted an impressive service at the graveside.
