MR. G. H. CROWTHER
Mr. George Harcourt Crowther, aged 75, died on November 23 at Southbrook, to where he had gone recently as a State Wheat Board classifier. He was born at Collector, near Goulburn, came to Queensland in 1905, and became interested in dairying and the breeding to stud cattle. He frequently judged dairy cattle at country shows, and won several championships with his cattle at Brisbane Exhibitions. In 1935 he and his wife celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary. He is survived by a widow, seven daughters, and three sons.

Former Cattle Breeder
Mr. George Harcourt Crowther, who for many years was a prominent exhibitor of cattle at the Royal National, and other big shows, died at Southbrook early this morning. Mr. Crowther, whose family had come to Brisbane last Saturday from Toownomba, where they had been living for some years, had remained on the Downs to complete his work as a wheat classer.
He was a son of the late Mr. Samuel Crowther, and was born at Beeleaur, near Goulburn, New South Wales, 75 years ago. He came to Queensland with his family about 30 years ago and lived at Rosewood and on the South Coast before going to Toowoomba about 20 years ago. In his younger days he was a keen sportsman and he played tennis and cricket til late in life.
Mrs. Crowther survives her husband as also do seven daughters and three sons. The daughters are Mosdames A.
G. Krause (Woolooga), and H. P. Robertson (Vaucluse, Sydney), and Misses May, Vera, Elsie, Alice and Edna, and
the sons Cecil (Wamuran) , George (Manumbar), and Walter (Toowoomba).
Mr Samuel Crowther, of Brisbane, is a brother.
The funeral will take place at the Crematorium at 10.30 a.m. tomorrow.
