  The Forbes Advocate Friday 30 January 1953 Mrs. Ada Bathgate The death of a former well known resident of the Forbes district, in the person of Mrs. Ada Bathgate, who lived for many years in Browne Street and reared a large family in the town, took place in Sydney last Saturday. Deceased, whose maiden name was Higgins, was the widow of the late Mr. John Herbert Bathgate, who died at Forbes in 1941. She was aged about 65 years, and since leaving Forbes had been living at Roseberry. She is survived by a family of three sons and four daughters. The sons are Don, William and Keith, all of Sydney, and the daughters, Mrs. Treherne (Edna), Mrs. Mason (Joyce), Mrs. Kennedy (Patricia), and Jean, also married, all of whom live in the metropolitan area. Deceased also leaves one brother, Thomas (Queensland), and two sisters, Mrs. E. McKay (Forbes), and Mrs. Harwood (Sydney). Deceased's remains were privately cremated at Botany.
