MR. R. J. MORROW
The death of, Mr. Robert John Morrow, which occurred at a private hospital in Lismore, came very unexpectedly. The deceased was well known throughout the district and was highly respected. His birthplace was Wattamolla on the South Coast. He was 54 years of age and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Morrow, who still reside at Wattamolia.
The deceased came to the Richmond River 19 years ago and resided at Tregeagle for 10 years. He then purchased a property at Alstonville. A widow, two sons and four daughters survive him, viz., Ernest and Roy, and Dorothy, Ruby, Gladys and Bessie. He is also survived by two brothers, Christopher, of Nowra, William, of Kyogle, and one sister, Mrs. Priddle, of Beaumont. The interment took place in the Church of England portion of the Alstonville cemetery, the
Rev. H. J. Buttrum officiating at the graveside. The funeral was largely attended. The pall bearers were his sons (Ernest and Roy), his brother William, and Messrs. C. Walmsley, R. W. Morrow and John Irvine. Messrs. W. Riley and Son had charge of the funeral arrangements. Many wreaths, cards, letters and telegrams of sympathy were sent from, all parts of the State.
