MR. M. A. EASTWAY.
The death occurred on Thursday of Mr. Matthew Albert Eastway, formerly of Eastway Brothers, at the age tot 85 years.
The late Mr. Eastway had been identified with city business for more than 60 years, and was one,ot the founders of Eastway Bros.
Born in Surrey, England, the late Mr. Eastway came to Australia with his family in 1840, by the sailing vessel San Francisco. The family settled in Sydney, and about 60 years ago the late Mr. Matthew Eastway, with Mr. Richard Eastway, founded the firm of Eastway Bros. Some years ago Mr. Eastway retired from the business, and had since lived a re-tired life. He is survived by two sons, Mr. Albert and Mr. Cecil Eastway, and two married daughters, Mrs. Bassingthwaite, of Woodstock, and Mrs. Powys, of Claremont (West-ern Australia).
