      58. Alexander Mackenzie, Alligin – Alaidh Chorran (also known as Alaidh Mór, or Alaidh Ruadh). He was a brother of Donald Mackenzie no. 54, and built the first house on the site of the Dorran. He lived beforehand in a house on the Corran. His wife Ann was Ann MacIver, a sister of Farquhar MacIver (see no 62) Son Finlay emigrated to New Zealand. See also no. 35.
